Debra Scott holds a Masters of Education in Adult Education and Community Development with two collaborative specializations, one in Workplace Learning and Social Change and the other in Environmental Studies, from the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Her research interests include co-operative development, motivations for community activism and the link between the beauty and functionality of physical spaces and health. Before studying at OISE, Debra was a graphic designer, and taught ICT including design fundamentals at secondary school. Her goal is to use her aesthetic eye for creating beautiful and functional interiors with re-claimed up cycled furnishings for people in supportive housing.
